அலுவலக மொழி - சிறு கையேடு

பள்ளியில் படித்த காலத்தில் 'கையேடு' கல்லூரிகளில் படித்த போது 'Prospectus' என்று உடனுக்குடன் விதிமுறைகள், விளக்கங்கள் தெரிந்து கொள்வதற்காகக் கொடுத்திருப்பார்கள். (அதை எத்தனை முறை படித்திருப்போம் என்பது வேறு விஷயம்!)

அலுவலகங்களில் மின்மடல் மூலமும், காகிதம் மூலமும் எழுதப்படும் சிறு குறிப்புகளுக்கு உண்மையில் என்ன பொருள்? மொழிபெயர்த்தால் அவற்றின் சுவை குறைய வாய்ப்புள்ளதால் ஆங்கிலத்தில் அப்படியே......

பொருள்: I don't know what to do with this, so please keep it.

2. Noted and returned.
பொருள்: I can't figure out what to do with this, so please keep it little while.

3. Review and comment.
பொருள்: Do the dirty work so that I can forward it.

4. Action please.
பொருள்: Get yourself involved for me. Don’t worry, I'll claim the credit.

பொருள்: It's your headache now.

6. Copy to.
பொருள்: Here comes a share of my headache.

பொருள்: Put your neck on the chopping board for me please.

8. Action is being taken.
பொருள்: Your correspondence is lost and I am trying to locate it.

பொருள்: I am trying to figure out what you want.

பொருள்: I don't know what the "f ***" this is, so please brief me.

பொருள்: Do it NOW! Or I will get into serious trouble.

பொருள்: Please be efficient. It makes me look inefficient.

13. We are investigating/processing your request with the relevant authorities.
பொருள்: They are causing the delay, not us.
